The Audi Q7 e-Tron is coming soon. The car is not available yet at dealers. The information on this page is what CURRENT EV has been provided with.

The Audi Q7 e-Tron is a diesel-powered plug-in hybrid. There have been diesel hybrids before in Europe (notably Volvo's V60 PHEV), but this is the only one that CURRENT EV is aware of in the United States. Reviewers say the car is fast, stylish, well-appointed, and is capable of exceptional fuel-economy numbers if it's plugged in often enough.

The sculpted lines of the Audi Q7 e-Tron plug-in give it a flowing, streamlined look. Aluminum parts and weight-saving technology make the car considerably lighter – 660 lbs – than its previous model. The 7-seat plug-in SUV’s turbo-charged 2.0L 4-cylinder gas powered motor mates with a 94kw electric motor to provide a combined system output of 362 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Audi’s well-proven Quattro all-wheel drive system transfers power to the road, propelling the SUV to 60 in approximately 6 seconds. Audi contends its new heat pump climate control system extends the car’s range by 20% allowing it to travel 634 miles with a full tank of gas and a full electric battery charge. 34 of those miles are electric-only.

Specifications from Audi: "The Audi Q7 e-tron offers the most spacious interior in its segment. The rear seats have adjustable backrests and can be moved fore/aft as desired. The lithium-ion battery takes up little space. The Audi virtual cockpit is standard in the Q7 e-tron quattro. The all-digital instrument cluster with its 12.3-inch display presents all key information in top-quality graphics. Audi connect (standard) connects the Q7 e-tron to the internet via the fast LTE standard. With the Audi MMI connect app, the smartphone can be used to remotely control charging and interior heating or cooling, call up the battery status and display data about past trips. Passengers can surf the web and send emails with their mobile devices via the Wi-Fi hotspot. Supplemental components: the Audi tablet for the Rear Seat Entertainment, the sound systems from Bang & Olufsen or Bose with 3D sound and the Audi phone box, which easily connects the cell phone with the car and charges it inductively."
